In addition to our own in-house Taos restaurant, at Touchstone offering a Prefix menu, when our guests go out to eat we always ask them for an honest critique of their meal. This is a small but vetted list of eateries. Our Taos Restaurant recommendations will grow as we and our guests get out and about in town and in the region.
The Love Apple
One of their favorite Taos Restaurants is the Love Apple which is within walking distance of Touchstone, as in we share a fence and our parking lots touch walking distance. Cary and Amanda absolutely loved the quality and freshness of their meal and the wine list. In fact, all of our guests have enjoyed this place. The Love Apple requires reservations, is only open for dinner, is closed on Monday, and only takes cash or check (out of state is OK).
Lambert”s is a Taos restaurant that offers a quality dining experience — our guests have been happy with both meat and fish entrees. The price is on the high end but worth it. Seriously!
My absolute all time favorite pizza place is The Outback. Get the Sandy’s and a dinner salad or something even more outrageous, This is not traditional commercialized pizza — this is pie! Gluten Free and vegetarian pizza is available at this Taos restaurant. Oh, and the Carrot Cake is swell too. The Outback is located within walking distance from Touchstone.
Five Star Burgers
Five Star Burgers is another keeper, according to our guests. I like the burger with green chili. It is open for lunch and dinner. Gluten free buns available with a variety of fillings at this Taos restaurant as well.
We hear that Vivac winery has a solid tasting experience for guests and awesome chocolates.
Another favorite from our guests is El Meze. This Taos restaurant has fresh, regionally inspired cuisine from Spain and Northern New Mexico.
Wonderful oysters on the half shell at this Taos restaurant!
